April 4, 1994 – Monday – 4:30 p.m.

It’s Christian Skate Night!

Kenny is going and he invited Becca and Rebecca.  In case you don’t remember, I used to like Rebecca.  She is the Swedish foreign exchange student and as far as I know Kenny and I will meet them at school at 6:30 p.m.  Kenny also invited Lisa and a lot of other people.

I just got off the phone with Tenielle.  She said she had a letter for me.  She told me what she did today and she said she would talk to me some more tonight.  In the letter I wrote her, I complemented her on her eyes and her beauty and how nice she is, etc.  Last night at church, I can’t explain it, but something was there while she sat next to me.  She kept looking at me and smiling.  She hugged me about three times and she put her arm around me once.

Also last night I went up to Megan’s little sister and asked her to give me a massage.  She gives a great massage.  Tenielle and Jenna walked in and I saw Tenielle look at me weird.  Jenna came over to us and asked us me if I asked her to give me a massage.  I said yes.  At that point I figured it was time to go.

I went up to Tenielle and she gave me another hug, I walked them outside, said goodbye and Marcus and I left.

I hope tonight goes well.  Veronica will be there and I hope she doesn’t get in the way.  It will be an interesting night.  A night that will soon only be memories.

I also might see Christi tonight since I have to take the Roller Blades back afterwards.

Well, I’m going to go find something to eat.  And when I get back here tonight I will tell you what happened.

November 12, 1993 – Friday – 11:22 p.m.

Two birds have flown my way.  Two birds whom I have yet to write about in my journal.

Until now.

Yesterday was Veteran’s Day.  And if you are a Veteran, thank you.

We had an assembly at school for the special day.  When we have an assembly, we always go to home room and then to the auditorium.  In my home room class there is a girl.  That is the only class I have her in and we only have home room every now and then.

Anyway, I first saw this girl on August 21, 1993.  She was at the senior T-shirt making party.  Her name is Rebecca and she is the foreign exchange student this year.  She is from Sweden.  Back in August, when I met her, the extent of our conversation was just exchanging names.  I wanted to talk to her some more, but I was sort of shy.  The day continued and she left my mind because I went to Ryan’s house later, and, well, you know…I suppose you could just go back and read the journal entry for that day.

We’ve only had about three assemblies so far this year and that plus one time in the hall are the only times I’ve talked with her.  We always sit next to each other during assembly and I’ve gotten to know her a little bit.  I guess all I’m trying to say is that she is absolutely wonderful and she has fully captured my attention.

Tonight at work there was a new girl there.  Tonight was her first night.  I helped her some, but after I got off I sat down and waited for Henry to pick me up and it was her break time.  She sat with me and we had a nice conversation.  She is pretty, but not gorgeous, but I bet she can be if she adds a little makeup to her beautiful eyes.  Her name is Janice.  She was nice to me and really polite.  I like that.

I was right.  Another one always comes along.

This time next week I will be coming back from the best night of my life.

Les Miserables is in seven days.

August 21, 1993 – Saturday – 11:05 p.m.

This morning I went to singing practice and, of course, Marcus went with me.  Kevin left for college this morning.  It hasn’t hit me that he’s gone, yet.

Then we went shopping and left for Wendy’s house where we were going to make our senior T-shirts for school.  After a very long time of driving around parts of the state I’ve never been, I finally found her house.  Since I go to church in the next county over, I don’t go to school with any of my church friends, and vice versa.  I haven’t seen any of these people all summer.  It was good to see everybody.

Then we left for Ryan’s house.  We met later in the day since skit group was cancelled for no reason at all.  Christi couldn’t make it so Ryan and I worked, while the two of us plus Marcus talked about everything under the sun.  We all went to youth group, and it was so great.  I learned a whole lot.

Andy was there and we talked about writing and stuff.  Then Marcus and I talked and dreamed about the world’s two greatest girls:  Ryan and Christi.

Guess what?  Marcus likes Christi.  It didn’t bother me.  I mean, Christi is still a great person to me and all, but nothing beyond that.  I don’t feel for her the way I feel for Ryan.

Marcus said her and I talked and joked around like we were a couple tonight and it shocked him.  He thought we might have a secret relationship going on that nobody knows about.

The day was great.  A lot more happened that is simply too wonderful to write about here.

Just the simple stuff.  Looks, words, smiles, eyes, etc., etc.  All the things that make life worth living.

I shall go to bed thanking the Lord for the great new memories that I will cherish forever.
